How delicately intertwined good and bad can be
How quickly our mind can jump from one to the next
How different a situation can make things seem
I see the good in everyone
In everything
But in you
The one who cut my wings
The one who lashed me
And left scars that won't cure
In you I see the darkness
I see my oppressor and my punisher
The good fades in a second
And then the bad comes crashing like a storm
The light tries to fight the darkness
I try to see the man I love
But when all my wounds tear open at once

I don't see the one you love
